| Description: |
Chevron / Texaco left a toxic legacy in the Northern Ecuadorian region of the Amazon rainforest. A courageous group of people called Los Afectados (The Affected Ones) is seeking justice for the ensuing cancer, sickness, and death in the largest environmental class action lawsuit in history. The lawsuit, representing 30,000 people, charges Chevron/ Texaco with damaging the environment and health of the community.
The company denies any responsibility and blames the campesinos for their health problems. Activists Daryl Hannah and Stuart Townsend speak out about the issues.
