Two exciting new partnerships for the BCTF!

CoDev is pleased to announce two new BCTF partnerships that show exactly how our values are translated into practice.

One new partnership is with the Nuevo Horizonte Cooperative, who are launching a transformative teacher training program that fuses technology, social media, and grassroots education with powerful social justice values. Designed to empower teachers and ignite critical thinking in both students and the wider community, the training will center on content creation for classrooms and community spaces—through an anti-colonial, anti-racist, and anti-patriarchal lens.

This initiative is being co-created with the Women’s Sector, a powerhouse alliance of 32 feminist organizations across Guatemala. These women bring deep knowledge of digital security and online activism, born from their lived resistance against far-right oppression.

The other new partnership is with the Coalition of Teachers and Indigenous Promoters of Oaxaca (CMPIO), which focuses on teacher training in indigenous education for members of Section 22 (Oaxaca) of the Mexican National Union of Education Workers (SNTE). CMPIO’s goal is to use the “Nests of Magisterial Languages” concept for teacher professional development that focuses on developing language skills, promoting teacher self-esteem, and facilitating a knowledge-based dialogue between teachers and the communities they serve.
